Happy for you man. I’ve got a little over a month now, and I’m not looking back. My experience was very much the same. Even the lock up muscles and jaw type panic attacks. Hospital visits over and over. No feeling, suicidal ideation, my emotions are still very numb at the moment but I’m just taking it day by day and not dwelling on the future or past. I’m not thinking about forever I just know that I’m not drinking today.

Sir, I listened to this video 5 years ago. Finally, 2.5 years later hit my rock, rock rock bottom. Heaving for 15 hours straight, on my death bed, 4th time to to rehabe, I had enough. Today 2.5 five years sobar, I don't even think about alchohol anymore because I know if I ever go back, it will KILL me, no doubt in my mind. A lot of f'd up shit happened to during my drinking days, shit like almost lost my wife, family, house, job, was totally waisted & didn't make my flight to my sisters funeral. I look back and wonder who that guy was, almost as if I had no control over anything. Thank you so much for your experience, I can only imagine how many live you've charged just by sharing your story. Would really like to hear an update on how your doing. Thx

Appreciate your honesty. I see van life as a temporary adventure, a chance to learn about yourself, build some experience and self-reliance, and experience things you never will in a stationary job. As a permanent lifestyle, it just doesn't make a lot of sense. I'm sure you'll treasure the memories going forward. Good luck to you.

A lot of young guys do the same things but yea the early you start the harder this is to quit…instead of growing you numb life …that is the most dangerous time to drink
